If you look at some of my very first blog posts with photos…they are a hot mess. The one thing that I’ve learned about blogging is photos really make or break you in getting featured, pinned, etc.
I started editing all of my photos and learning how to take better photos. I believe lighting is everything.
I’ve been using Picmonkey.com to edit my photos and I was happy with that until they decided to start charging. Yes, most of the basic edits are still available and work just fine but it’s annoying when you want to do something and the stupid crown pops up asking you to upgrade.
I recently received the Photoshop Lightroom photo editing software and I’ve been really scared of it. Weird right?! Well, I tried for days to figure out how to say a photo–which I thought I edited pretty well.
Photoshot doesn’t call it save…it calls it export. Which sort of sounds like deport which means to leave and I didn’t want it to leave. ANYWHO, today I learned how to save an edit by clicking export. I’ve been googling everything I want to learn because I REF– USE to pay $50+ for a book to tell me how to do something. Hopefully I will become braver and start to try things with this amazing software. Adios dark under eye circles…(I don’t even know if I can do that with this software)…wait just googled it. YOU CAN! WAHAHAHA. Let me master the other stuff because it came up under advanced portrait editing video on Youtube. For a
wonder, bright, magnificent, rainy, cold, wet , dark Saturday I’ll leave you with an edited photo from our trip to Scotland. This photo was taken with my iPhone so it’s definitely not perfect.
