Take multiple strips of painters tape and stretch across the opening of the bucket.
Push nailhead trim into the tape.
Spray with primer. I sprayed two coats allowing 10 minutes between coats. Spray at different angles to ensure full coverage.
Spray with colored spray paint. I did three coats, allowing 10 minutes between and spraying at different angles.
Let dry over night. Once the trim is completely dried, pull the tape off the bucket and remove each trim. Use a rubber hammer and softly apply trim to furniture.
Tip: If any paint chips off the trim, spray some paint onto a paper towel and use a small paint brush to fix chips. I didn’t have this problem but this may happen if you don’t use a rubber hammer.
Have you used nailhead trim? This was my first time using it and it was the EASIEST thing to use EVER. I can’t wait to add it to more things around the house. Here is the latest project with nailhead trim.
