Let’s Marvin Gaye and Get It On Print Free Printable

Our bedroom is our favorite spot in the house . It’s our sacred place where we retreat to relax and enjoy each other. For that purpose, we don’t have a television in there. Our dresser was lacking some serious décor above it so a few months ago I built two photo ledges. Since then, I’ve been slowly (between night shifts and catching up on sleep) been styling the shelves with things that are meaningful to us as a couple.

We have a few inside jokes between us and one of them involves the song “Marvin Gaye” by Charlie Puth featuring Meghan Trainor. So naturally we needed a print for our ledges. WAHAHA.
This list contains affiliate links of the items I used to make the print.
Silhouette Cameo
White Cardstock
Gold vinyl
Transfer paper
Scraping tool
Weeding tool
Scissors
Computer with Silhouette Cameo Design Software
Using the Silhouette Design Software, I created the file to be cut by the machine. I had a really hard time deciding on which font to use. There are literally a million! After searching for longer than I care to admit #fontaddict, I found the perfect one! (Lace 1.0).

You can download the Silhouette file here. or the black PDF version here.
Note: Files are for personal use only. Please do not make and resell.Next, I weeded the excess vinyl. This has to be my LEAST favorite thing to do ever! Using the scraper, I applied the transfer tape onto the letters and put the letters onto a sheet of cardstock. This part can be tricky because you have to line it up perfectly on the page. If needed, you can use a pencil to mark and measure where the transferred vinyl should go.
Here is the finished project which lives beside our Tiny Prints canvas photo from a special trip to San Diego (read about our trip here). I didn’t say anything to Hubs about the print so when he finally noticed it he thought it was funny. Perfect. Smile
