Labeled Bathroom Drawer Organization

In my quest to label ALL things, I recently created a divided drawer organizer for my husband’s toiletries. We’ve had this kitchen drawer organizer in our bathroom drawer for a year or so dividing his stuff. I’ve been wanting to make these photo labels for a while but I wanted to see how he would use them before deciding for him. One of the biggest tips I can offer in organizing is to use the space for a year or so before you purchase anything or make anything permanent.

Supplies

Wooden Kitchen Drawer Organizer (ours expands)

White permanent vinyl sheets

Transfer tape (I love to use painter’s tape instead of transfer tape).

Silhouette Cameo

Silhouette Design Studio Software

Shapes (similar)

Cologne

Toothbrush, Toothpaste, Floss

Instructions

Note: I used images that I found online. I then traced them using the following tutorial.

Once you master this tutorial, your possibilities are endless. Trust.

Now,  load cut files to Silhouette Design Studio.

When I’m using Studio, I like to make sure my 1″ grid lines are in place. This helps when resizing stuff.

To see how large to make the shape, use your clear cut mat to size the space on the wooden organizer. Lay the mat over the space and count the squares. The grids on the mat should be the same size in the Design Studio. Then resize the shape to fit within the squares in the Design Studio.

Weed the shapes (For the non-Silhouette users, weeding is where you pull out all of the excess vinyl that isn’t needed for the design).

Using transfer paper (I like to used painters tape), move the vinyl shapes off of the cut paper and stick them into the desired space.

Note: Some of the spaces are blank because after you finish organizing, you should always have empty space. That way if something else new comes in, you have room for it.

After creating the labels, I had quite a few scraps left over so I decided to make a little bobby pin sticker. I think this one is my favorite and I’m slightly obsessed.

Bathroom Organization Tips

-Before you organize, use the area for a while to see how you utilize the space.

-Check toiletries for expiration dates. Throw out any expired products/medications.

-Store similar items together.

Do you have any organization tips?
