Happy Fall! It’s finally starting to look like Autumn around here despite temperatures in the low 90s. I’m over it. Since I have a few days off I decided it was a good time to sweat to death decorate the outdoors for Fall. I didn’t buy anything extra this year except for the ornamental grass for our door urns and a can of sample paint for the DIY below. We are keeping it pretty simple.
Bat Garage Door Decor
I used my Silhouette Cameo for the bats on the garage. I thought about adding more but I just don’t have the time right now with working overtime and training for a marathon. #priorities. If you don’t have a Silhouette (I’m sorry you are really missing out) I created a PDF of the bats. Just trace the bats onto a sheet of removable vinyl and hand cut them.

Pumpkin Stumps House Number DIY
My blogger friend Amber had a tree fall in her yard last week. I was going over anyways to help her with a project that she’s working on and used that time to scoop up a few tree stumps for this project. Her casualty, my gain. I’m so glad her car wasn’t in the way (it usually is parked in the very spot where the tree fell!).
I picked up a sample of pain from Lowe’s which thankfully covered both stumps. The color I chose is Autumn leaves. So appropriate. Note to self: stop wearing your good clothes when you paint like a two year old. Once the paint dried, I nailed some smaller branches to the top. The photo doesn’t show it well but I attached green/orange leaves to the top of those stems.
Super easy and the tree lives on! Have you decorated for Fall? Are you still sweating to death or is the weather being nice to you?
Today I’m teaming up with a group of talented bloggers to share our #homeforfall. Use that hashtag all across social media to see what they are working on. I’m getting lots of ideas! Below is a linkup of the group. Be sure to stop by and check out the talent!
