A DIY Living Succulent Easter Basket

Hello friends! Today I’m stepping outside of my comfort zone and completing a project that isn’t one you would normally find here…something inspired by Martha Stewart. Each year, her team shares an amazing collection of Easter baskets. All of them are stunning and super inspiring.  A group of bloggers teamed up to share our Martha Stewart inspired Easter Baskets. Here is mine. Make sure you check out the bottom of this post to see the other blogger baskets! OBSESSED yall!

I ran out of planters around here because I’ve been propagating so many succulents recently. One day while making breakfast I got an idea for little planters using eggshells. I googled it and sure enough it’s been done! To create the eggshell planters, I carefully tapped on the top of the eggshell with a knife until the top opened. I cooked the eggs and rinsed the eggshells. I sat them in the window sill (where my propagating happens) to let them dry. Once they were dry, I added worm compost and planted the succulents. I wanted to add a little color to the basket so I went foraging for blackberries near our house. We recently went hiking and found an entire field of them. We plan to make another trip in the coming weeks to get more. While there, I also found some twigs, ground covering fern babies and leaves. I tucked them into the basket and then added a string of pearls succulent to the handle. This DIY succulent easter basket was so easy that you could do it.  String of Pearls Air Plant Hens Chicks Succulents

Perfection my friend. The fact that it’s all natural feels sk right for this time of year. What a lovely basket! Martha Watch out!

There is something so magical about succulents. I adore them and I love the way you included the egg shells for a spring time twist. This entire basket is perfection!
