Some of you may think this bucket list is a weird one…haha… my friends think so. That’s okay. It may seem pointless to many but ever since I was little, I’ve wanted to do this but my parents would never let me on the tracks. I get it. It’s dangerous right? It’s dangerous if you stay on the tracks when the train is near. Putting a penny on the tracks will derail the train. Eh no. That’s a myth and the main purpose of this post is the dismember said myth. I was so sure, I put seven pennies (for some reason I keep typing penis instead of pennies) down and waited. I waited like a little kid on Christmas. Obviously I knew what would happen as I’ve googled it a million times but it’s better when you are doing it yourself and it’s something you’ve wanted to do for a very long time.
This was the perfect opportunity to try out my 50 mm lens. I’m still not sure what I’m doing yet but it’s fun. 🙂
We didn’t have to wait very long. Excitement grew as the train neared closer. Please enjoy my first GIF. 🙂
After the train passed we went looking for our pennies. Hubs only put one out and couldn’t find it right away but he eventually found it. I found six out of my seven.
The pennies now live in our keepsake boxes and it’s something we can share with our children one day.
This little outing could not have happened at a better time. I have my nursing school interview on Monday and these pennies symbolize potential change. Please pray for me and what the future holds.
