So this past weekend I went home to Virginia. This was the last time I would be home before the wedding so the marathon of things to do began the moment I stepped off the plane.
Jack’s Mannequin Concert
SOOOO AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I’ll admit, in the beginning I wish I was seeing Parachute. BOY WAS I WRONG! These guys are awesome. I love the combination of piano and drums. AMAZING!
We are going with baby’s breath for the flowers. Since I am a visual person, I asked the florist to do a mock up for me. One statement:
BOWS ARE UGLY AND EXPENSIVE.
They were charging us $100 for huge bows to go on the pews to reserve seats for family…NO MORE BOWS!!! The centerpieces that we saw needed to be a bit fuller
My hair was ok. I didn’t love it. I am hoping to find a better style before 9-10-11. AHHH!
IT WAS AWESOME!!
I was showered with lots of gifts and my cake was awesome. Gwen, Janet, Sissy and Ninny…thank you all so much for everything!!!! I had the best shower anyone could ever have…from a beautiful cake to redneck sushi (i’ll post recipe later) to be surrounding by family and friends….I really felted the love…many people drove from out of town to attend the shower…Katie drove from New Jersey…THANK YOU! Camilla and Amy drove from North Carolina…THANK YOU! Alison drove 2+ hours from Newport News. THANK YOU!!!
And thanks to everyone for the lovely gifts.
My sister got us a limo…surprise! It was packed but I wouldn’t have had it any other way. Me, my mom, my sister, my cousin Katie, BFF Katie L, BFF Jessica W, BFF Camilla, Cousin Amber, Aunt Ninny, Aunt Janet, Aunt Tammy, and Aunt Cousin Gwen (she is my cousin but like my aunt). IT WAS SOOOOOOOOO MUCH FUN!
My friend Caitlin couldn’t be there so she mailed me a stack of 20 cards with things to do before the end of the night…including ask 5 bachelors about their philosophy on love, piggy back ride, find someone named Rich and blow job shots. I did most of everything but lost focus at the second bar. The music was on point!
Here is a photo from the night…minus my mom and aunt Ninny.
